Past Workshops

Krama Of Asana

Krama means process and asana means pose. On April 6-7, 2019, we had the pleasure of hosting Noah Krol and Robyn Thomas from Peg City Yoga, Winnipeg. These amazing instructors took attendees to a whole new level in their yoga practice. Attendees worked on breaking down barriers and deepening their knowledge to the most challenging postures in Yoga asana using methodology of Vinyasa Krama? The 4 part workshop included:

Balancing
This workshop covered standing and arm balancing postures, including the Sivatantra theory, technique, and alignment of how to effectively balance. Most common postures were reviewed with opportunities for students to request breakdown of specific poses.

Inversions
This workshop covered Headstand, Forearm Stand, Headstand and Shoulder Stand, including the Sivatantra theory, technique, and alignment of how to successfully and consistently invert.

Planes of Motion
This workshop covered forward folds, side bends, back bends and twists, including the Sivatantra theory, technique, and alignment to facilitate deep and authentic embodiment of poses within many planes of motion.

Seated This workshop covered seated postures, including the Sivatantra theory, technique, and alignment. The focus was on creating opening in the hips and spine.
